Supracondylar fracture is a common fracture in children, most common in age 5yrs to 7yrs.
Fall on outstretched hand leads to fracture through the weakest part of children arm bone i.e. humerus.
It is classified into 3 major types where type 3 is most severe type as shown in the image with particular risk of artery or nerve injury.
Not all cases can be managed via plaster application some do require intervention.
