UR Orthopaedic Clinic
Dr. Ankur Sharma is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon With practice in Rohini, Narela, Bawana and nearby areas. He has expertise in the treatment of all kinds of orthopaedics, in primary and revision Joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries. His special interest is in knee replacement surgery which he developed during his research on knee arthroplasty. His thesis under the guidance of Dr. Lalit Maini (Ex-President of Delhi Orthopaedic Association) titled “Evaluation of difference of knee kinematics in single radius vs multi radii total knee arthroplasty” for which he was awarded the best thesis/research article in 2015 by the Delhi orthopaedic association.
He has done his MBBS at The University College of Medical Sciences from 2006 to 2010. After completing his internship he joined the government of NCT of Delhi as a Medical Officer at Maharishi Valmiki Hospital.
He did his ms in orthopaedics at Maulana Azad Medical College from 2013 to 2016. During this period he did active research and published articles in various journals of national and international repute.
After completing his MS in Orthopaedics he joined the largest Delhi government Hospital i.e. Lok Nayak Hospital as a senior resident in 2016. Till 2019 while working as a senior resident not only did he perform>1000 independent surgeries but also he taught the future generation of doctors passing out from Maulana Azad Medical College.
In 2019 he joined as an attending consultant at the Max Hospital, Patparganj to perform trauma surgeries and assist in knee replacement surgeries. He then joined Lady Hardinge Medical College as an Assistant Professor, where after taking charge as a consultant, did more than 500 independent surgeries of trauma, arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, meniscectomy, diagnostic arthroscopy and hip & knee replacement surgeries.
During this time from 2013 to 2021, he presented a lot of papers and posters at international, national and state-level conferences of orthopaedic surgeons. He was also awarded fellowships from the Delhi Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Orthopaedic Association and also from ISKSAA. He went to Ganga Hospital under the guidance of Dr S Rajasekaran, Coimbatore, the Indian Spinal Injury Centre under Dr. Ritab Kumar and various other reputed hospitals for the experience. In trauma and joint replacement surgeries. He went to Italy and Australia for his fellowship in not only primary but also revision joint replacement and arthroscopy.
UR Orthopaedic Clinic has an association with Pathkind Labs for all kinds of blood, urine and stool tests which is owned by Mankind Pharma group. It also has the latest Digital X-ray Machine for patient care.
