Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgery where surgery is performed on a joint with specialized instruments through a keyhole. It avoids the need for large surgical incisions. It can be performed on many joints like the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, wrist, elbow, etc. Most commonly performed surgeries are ACL (Anterior Cruciate ligament) reconstruction, PCL (Posterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction, Meniscectomy, Meniscal repair, Bankart repair, rotator cuff repair, etc.
